We have trained University of Pennsylvania Hip Improvement Program veterinarians to assess the quality of the canine hip and quantitatively measure canine hip joint laxity. This evaluation is more accurate than the current standard in its ability to predict the onset of osteoarthritis, also known as degenerative joint disease.
